Birch leaf infusion has been used for centuries as a botanical hair treatment for soft and shiny hair. Here in Scandinavia, Birch is a strong symbol of spring and romance, possessing countless of healing properties in its sheer leaves and sap juice. Birch was the first tree able to grow after the last ice age and has always been an important and powerful source of vitamins on this latitude.

We pick the leaves in May, just after leaf buds open to the spring sun. At this early time the sheer leaves contain very high doses of valuable substances for both healing and beauty, mainly vitamins and natural saponins.

After infusing clean fresh spring water with Birch leaves we add some of the mildest veg surfactant available (made from coconut and sugar) that adds a rich, soft and mild lather.

We also use high quality natural guar as a detangling agent and easy combing enabler. For a super clean and fresh scent organic steam destilled essential oils are used. For this product we finally decided on a nice blend of some of our personal favourites; sweet orange, lime, lemon and cedar wood. A perfect blend that feels very fresh yet not overpowering.

This organic shampoo is 100% biodegradable. Mild and gentle enough to use for the most sensitive skin/scalp, even kids. This is a long lasting shampoo, a little goes a long way, even for thick/longer hair.

Free from parabens/SLS/ synthetic perfume, artificial colorants. Vegan.
